Leeds University has published guides to inclusive fieldwork for institutions supporting trans and LGBTQ folks.

Trans+ researchers commonly face barriers to safe, inclusive, and equitable participation in fieldwork, necessitating additional support and understanding from colleagues and supervisors. The needs of trans+ researchers are both physical and psychological and will vary substantially between individuals, as well as being likely to change for individual trans+ people over time.

1,000-mile-long cloud that forms and vanishes on Mars every day obeys 'exotic physics' never seen on Earth

As wind rises up the slopes of Arsia Mons, which is more than twice as tall as Mount Everest, it creates a powerful wave that shoots air into the upper atmosphere at tremendous speed. The researchers calculated that the temperature of this air can drop by up to 54 degrees Fahrenheit (30 degrees Celsius) in just 10 minutes. This not only makes it easy to freeze but also greatly increases the humidity within the wave, allowing homogeneous nucleation to take place, the simulations show.

The juxtaposition of these two article is a good illustration of how much we need balance in our ecosystems:

Four Artists Exploring Sustainable Alternatives to Synthetic Art Supplies

[A]rtists from Sunset Park’s Genspace lab centered the artistic potential of natural pigments, algae yarn, and alternative clays. Such substitutions needn't be one-to-one swaps; instead, natural materials can unlock new creative challenges and shift our relationships to art objects and processes at large. ...four artists working with Genspace share their visions for a more sustainable future of art-making rooted in local ecosystems, scientific inquiry, and community collaboration.
