Glimpses of today (20261026)
Got the happy light out for the first time this autumn. Should've started using it about a month ago, really. But as always, second best time is now.
Had all my food prep done before noon, which hardly ever happens. Did that mean i was marvelously productive otherwise? Pfft.
The stoneware for my 1.5 qt slow cooker has developed a crack. Replacing it would be simple enough except that i looked a little too broadly and so find myself now debating getting a rice cooker or multi-cooker instead. The little slow cooker handles brown rice and sorghum just fine--that's what i primarily use it for--but it'd be nice to have something that could do quicker cooking grains like millet and buckwheat. Given the prices, though, will probably stick with whatever off-brand slow cooker comes in a pretty color.
