Glimpses of today (20261024)
Next-to-last outdoor market for the year today. Got a good haul: cantaloupe, bell peppers, yogurt, cheese, smoked ham hock, and ground pork. Nice chats with a couple of the vendors, and the perfect morning for a scooter ride even though i neglected to charge it so was having to go really slow and keep a close eye on the battery.
Was not the work day i'd planned, though. Just couldn't find my focus for one of the two projects i needed to tackle and the other is waiting on info from others. So it was a little cleanups kind of day. Useful enough, if not what was really needed.
The batch of bar cookies ended up being vanilla-cardamom instead of vanilla-orange-cardamom. There's a hint of orange, but i overcompensated for having used too much lemon in the previous batch so not quite the flavor combo i was aiming for. Still yummy, though.
