Glimpses of today (20260904)
Eight Mississippi kites took off from the same large tree just as i was driving past. Have never seen so many come from one tree before. They looked gorgeous silhouetted against the just-lightening sky.
Was having A Day at work, so took a half day; will work the other half tomorrow, so as to not cut into my already much-depleted leave. Totally worth it.
Went to the bookstore to spend a very generous gift card. Had a lovely hour browsing and came home with an entirely satisfying sack o' stuff. Books! CDs! Jigsaw puzzle! Two-color clicky pens! click click click click
