Glimpses of today (20260717)
This morning was so still, the few Mississippi kites not perching were gliding below the tops of the trees. Quite startling to have such a large bird barely clear the top of your vehicle.
We're firmly in the season of crepe myrtle and rose of sharon. Many shades of pinks from deep and dark to nearly white, and a few purples, in my neighborhood.
At work, the cleanup continues after the removal of an art collection that had been on long-term loan. The walls look incredibly large--like teeth after braces are removed. Most of them are being repainted the usual institutional white, but there's a mural in the plan for the largest space.
