A note on shopping food sales
For me, a downside of purchasing sale meats is that they need to be dealt with immediately. So sometimes, that means not getting the sale items at all. Today, though, my energy's decent so the ground turkey that was BOTH half off (use/freeze by tomorrow) AND buy one, get one was a no-brainer. Two pounds for less than the usual price for one! I'll cook it all as soon as the laundry's done, then freeze half. So there's an additional win because my stock of cooked meats is almost entirely gone.
