A note on getting a new door
Due to drought and heat, my house has settled a fair bit this summer. This caused the front door to become misaligned--as in, one set of hinges were no longer fully connected to the frame, and the deadbolt was no longer aligned. (Not the only door with problems; the one that mattered most.) Today, after three hours of work, the handyman got it replaced. I'm so relieved! Bummed that this one doesn't have a peephole, though. The old one was aligned perfectly to create rainbows on the wall right around summer solstice. I'll miss that.
